Maggi and me

My association with Maggi goes back to 1996 when i was in class 6. One of my friends had told me that she could cook Maggi. I thought it was great that she could cook something, given the fact that i never entered the kitchen, so never knew anything about cooking. Finally one day i asked my mom to do it for us and from that day, i havent stopped munching on this favourite dish of mine.

Maggi has been my saviour for many years now ...esp the maggi in night canteen @BITS-Pilani. I remember how big the Queue was for getting a plate of maggi.

After graduation , i started working, when i had to stay in a PG accomodation, and we were allowed to cook maggi here. So again it saved me from having pathetic breakfasts

Now that i have a kitchen of my own and time to spend on cooking, i am trying out all kinds of maggi... and my latest one is Egg maggi.. It was very yummy..and cant stop appreciating myself for trying this out.

Recipe is simple: Put some oil, and add an egg and fry it. then add water ,some chopped green chillies, masala and maggi. let it cook for 2-3 mins. Add a little tomato chilli sauce, and keep it in low flame for another min. And egg maggi is ready!

Maa tujhe salam

This is my first post, post marriage. It has taken me some time to get back to normal life, to adjust to the new environment, and start blogging again.

This post is my "salam" to all the mothers out there, who take so much trouble to keep the home running . Only now do i understand what it is to be incharge of a house.

Mom is great... For so many years,

She had been cooking everyday for all the three meals..
She had missed the sunday programs in tv to make that tasty lunch.
She had made tea and snacks when i said..i was hungry
She made those pickles to help me survive in hostels.
She had made sure i got laundered clothes to wear.
She slept late after cleaning the dining table.
She woke up at 5 am to fill the drinking water.
She had never complained about not having rest
She had been keeping the house spik and span...
She made our house a home...

Thank you mom.. for all that you have done.
